Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP)
  • Applicants who wish to apply for the Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program are required to contact the Academic Affairs Office as soon as possible.

Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarship Program
(ADB-JSP)
  • The Application deadline: January 20, 2017
    Application for 2017 ADB-JSP Kobe University is now closed. Information for 2018 ADB-JSP will be posted around mid October 2017.
  • Applicants for the ADB-JSP are required to satisfy both the requirements for the Special Course for Development Policy (Master's Course) and the Additional Requirements for the ADB-JSP.

  • JJ/WBGSP and ADB-JSP are not offered for doctoral applicants.

Research Students

  • Application Deadline
    For the enrollment in October : (around) late May
    For the enrollment in April : (around) late November
  • Applicants who wish to become a research student at GSICS need to first receive a preliminary consent from the professor you prefer to pursue your research with.

    List of Teaching Staff
  • You must send an email to the professor, who you would like to have as your academic adviser, with the following documents.
  • Once you receive a preliminary consent from the professor, notify the academic affairs office of GSICS by email.

  • You will receive the application form.
  • NOTE:
    A preliminary consent from the professor does not mean your admission is approved. The admission is determined by the evaluation of your research proposal and an interview.
