I firmly believe GSICS will help me pursue my career goal of becoming an expert at international organizations by providing an academic environment for students to enhance their research, analytical, problem solving, communication, and practical skills. GSICS also opens doors to a diverse range of international study opportunities. For instance, I had the invaluable experience of being an exchange student at the University of Pittsburgh in the U.S., which broadened my academic horizons and enriched my perspective on global education systems. I also interned at the Cambodian Ministry of Education (MOEYS) and the Cambodian Development Research Institution (CDRI), which enhanced my practical knowledge and skills. Indeed, GSICS offers an unparalleled chance for us to realize our career goals.
I am a government official from the National Bank of Cambodia. In addition to my official duties, I have chosen to pursue a master's degree at Kobe University under the JDS scholarship program. Currently, I am enrolled as a graduate student majoring in economics at GSICS, where the academic atmosphere is welcoming to international students and researchers, particularly within the development and economics program. Through engaging in various courses and seminars, I have gained foundational knowledge in economic theories, which significantly benefits both my professional growth and the expansion of my expertise. Furthermore, this educational journey has not only provided valuable insights but has also been transformative as I immerse myself in a diverse cultural environment, fostering meaningful exchanges of ideas with fellow international students.
To prepare students for the global challenges of the 21st century, GSICS in Kobe University offers a combination of highly experienced instructors, theoretical and applied knowledge, field visits, and excellent networking possibilities. With unlimited access to research and study resources, GSICS has created an excellent environment for conducting fruitful research. It encourages and considers everyone's research interests and supports them in exploring them in every way. As an international master's student of Politics and Area Studies under a JDS scholarship from Bangladesh, I have been experiencing its potential. GSICS gives tutors to international students to help them integrate into Japanese society smoothly. In addition, the friendly and accommodating staff makes it possible for us to live and study comfortably—for me, it's like a home away from home. For those interested in studying at a renowned Japanese university, GSICS will be a great choice.
