Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies (GSICS), Kobe University, has established a student exchange program with the Faculty of Law, University of Akureyri (UNAK), Iceland. This program is for one semester of study abroad (non-degree seeking). We are now reopening applications for students to study at UNAK during the second semester starting in January 2026, with the possibility of scholarship support.

■ Eligibility
Master’s students enrolled in GSICS, Kobe University including international students

■ Costs and Financial Support
Tuition: Exempted at UNAK (students must continue to pay tuition fees at Kobe University)
Other costs: Travel expenses, living costs, and insurance must be borne by the student
Scholarship support (under discussion, subject to availability):
    Airfare: approx. EUR 1,500
    Living expenses: approx. EUR 4,500 (with a possible additional grant up to EUR 1,250 if conditions are met)
