極域協力研究センター（PCRC）

Polar Cooperation Research Centre (PCRC)

極域協力研究センター（PCRC）は、2015年10月、北極域研究推進プロジェクト（ArCS）の実施機関として設立されました。PCRCは、ArCS及びその後継プロジェクトである北極域研究加速プロジェクト(ArCS II）の下での任務を成功裏に完遂し、2025年4月より、JSPS先端研究拠点形成事業A型「地球益実現に向けた南極ガバナンス国際研究拠点構築」の下で、南極条約体制に関する研究を推進しています。現在、PCRCは、柴田明穂センター長が率いる世界有数の極域法の研究拠点となっており、毎年、世界中の専門家や若手の研究者が集まり、国際シンポジウム、ワークショップ、セミナーを開催して極域に関する今日的課題について議論しています。また、その研究成果は、日英両言語で発表されています。

The Polar Cooperation Research Centre (PCRC) was established in October 2015, originally to implement the first and second phases of the Arctic Challenge for Sustainability projects (ArCS & ArCS II）until March 2025, with great success. From April 2025, with a new funding from JSPS Core-to-Core Program on Antarctic Governance, PCRC will strongly promote its Antarctic legal and policy studies. Under the directorship of Professor Akiho Shibata, PCRC is proud to be the world’s leading polar legal research hub, where experts and early-career scholars from around the world gather to discuss topical polar issues in international symposia, workshops, and seminars.

グローバル教育政策計画研究センター（GEPP）

Global Research Center for Education Policy and Planning (GEPP)

グローバル教育政策計画研究センター（GEPP）は、2025年8月、グローバルな視点から教育政策・教育計画に関する研究を行い、関連する国際共同研究及び人材育成を推進することを目的として設立されました。小川啓一センター長が本研究科での実践を通じて蓄積してきた知識と経験を集約すると同時に、国際機関や二国間援助機関、各国教育省、NGO等と連携し、得られた知見を基礎としながら、教育政策・教育計画に関する実践的・開発的研究を推進しています。2026年4月より、JSPS研究拠点形成事業（B.アジア・アフリカ学術基盤形成型）「アジア・アフリカ地域における教育開発の学術ネットワークの強化」の下で、本研究科をハブとする教育開発ネットワークの強化に取り組んでいます。

The Global Research Center for Education Policy and Planning (GEPP) was established in August 2025 to promote research on education policy and planning from a global perspective. Under the directorship of Professor Keiichi Ogawa, GEPP collaborates with international organizations, bilateral aid agencies, ministries of education in various countries, NGOs, and other relevant institutions, and widely disseminates its outcomes domestically and internationally through publications, public symposia, and seminars. From April 2026, with new funding from the JSPS Core-to-Core Program on Educational Development, GEPP will strengthen global educational networks from a practical perspective and further promote international joint research.

教育開発のためのアフリカ・アジア大学間対話（A-Aダイアログ）ネットワーク

Africa-Asia University Dialogue for Educational Development (A-A Dialogue) Network

本研究科が2004年の発足時から参加している本ネットワークは、アフリカとアジアの大学間の連携を通じて開発途上国の教育開発に関する国際共同研究と人材育成を推進することを目的とし、ユネスコの高等教育連携ネットワーク（University Twinning and Networking Programme: UNITWIN）として認証されています。現在の第6フェーズでは20か国（日本を含む）から28大学が参加しており、本研究科は、ネットワーク内の研究グループの活動に参画するとともに、加盟大学と様々な共同研究や学生・研究者交流を行っています。

GSICS has been participating in the A-A Dialogue Network since it was established in 2004 to promote joint international research and human resource development in the area of educational development in developing countries through collaboration among universities in Africa and Asia. The A-A Dialogue is recognized as a University Twinning and Networking Programme (UNITWIN) by UNESCO. Under the current phase, it comprises 28 universities from 20 countries. In addition to participating in the activities of research groups within the network, GSICS is conducting various joint international research projects and student/staff exchange programs with member universities.
