研究課題

開発途上国における教育の機会について、教育経済学およびジェンダーの視点から実証研究を行っています。特にサブサハラ・アフリカ地域に関心を持ち、マラウイを主なフィールドとして、女性の世帯内意思決定や親族構造が児童の就学機会や私的教育支出に与える影響について、定量的手法と定性的手法を組み合わせて研究しています。

Research Topic

Research focuses on educational opportunities in developing countries from the perspectives of education economics and gender. With a particular focus on the Sub-Saharan African region, especially Malawi, it investigates how women’s intrahousehold decision-making and kinship structures shape children’s schooling opportunities and household expenditure on children’s education through a combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis.

メッセージ

国際協力にはさまざまな関わり方があります。私自身、教育やジェンダーといった視点から、開発途上国における社会課題を通じて国際協力のあり方について考えてきました。世界の課題は複雑であり、一つの分野だけで理解できるものではありません。それぞれの専門分野や関心を生かしながら、多様な視点から課題に向き合うことが大切だと感じています。国際協力研究科での学びを通じて、世界の課題について共に考えながら、皆さんも自分なりの国際協力のあり方を見つけてみませんか。

Message

There are many ways to engage in international cooperation. From the perspectives of education and gender, I have reflected on the nature of international cooperation through the study of social challenges in developing countries. Global issues are complex and cannot be understood through a single discipline alone. It is important to approach these challenges from diverse perspectives while drawing on one’s own academic interests and areas of expertise. Through your studies at the Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies (GSICS), I encourage you to reflect on global challenges and discover your own approach to international cooperation.
