研究課題

国際法を専門として、特に軍備管理・軍縮、安全保障、武力紛争法等の分野を素材とした研究をしています。化学兵器や核兵器の問題は政治的な対立をかかえた問題であるため、国際法によってすぐに解決できないことも多い反面、このような領域でも条約や国際機構に関する様々な法的問題があり、これらを研究対象としています。安全保障の領域では、経済制裁も研究対象です。

Research Topic

My research is in the area of public international law. I am particularly interested in issues of arms control, international security as well as the law of armed conflict. My representative works in recent years dealt with chemical weapons in Syria, nuclear weapons and nuclear disarmament in light of contemporary conditions, and “unilateral” economic sanctions in the absence of the decisions by the UN Security Council.

メッセージ

国際協力研究科には留学生が多く、国際法プログラムでは、毎学期複数の英語講義が必ず開講され、修士2年間の間に3か月程度の短期留学（フランス）を実施する院生が毎年います。国際法を軸に国際問題を見すえたい人、論文執筆だけでなく留学や海外実習などに意欲がある人、などに、とても向いている環境です。

Message

The courses I teach in GSICS address the law of armed conflict, arms control treaties (NPT, CWC etc.), use of force, the UN Security Council, the ICJ cases related to these subjects, among other things. These topics illustrate the challenges for the rules-based international community at multiple levels. If interested in these topics, or any other topics among the rich variety of research topics in our graduate school, do join us!
