研究課題

国際関係論をベースとしつつ、国際機構論およびグローバル・ガバナンス論の観点から、国家だけでなく、国際機構、非政府組織（NGO）、企業、個人が、それぞれの立場、利益をどのように調整、克服し、グローバルな課題を解決するために協力しているのかについて研究しています。現在特に関心のある分野は、人道支援や開発支援、環境問題を事例として、国際機構がその他のアクターの協力を引き出すために、どのような調整メカニズムを利用しているのかに関してです。

Research Topic

I study International Relations (IR), specializing in International Organizations and Global Governance, with a focus on humanitarian assistance, development, and environmental protection. My current research explores the coordination mechanisms international organizations use to mobilize actors such as states, NGOs, and businesses, facilitating mutual cooperation to address global challenges, including refugee or displaced people, human rights, climate change, or global pandemics.

国際協力研究科（GSICS）を志望されるみなさんは、現在生じている国際問題の「解決」に関心があるのだと思います。しかし、いきなり解決法を探すのではなく、（1）その国際問題の「構造・背景」とは何か、（2）その問題が生じている「原因」は何なのかを明らかにしなければ、根本的な問題解決には至りません。国際関係論を含む政治学的なアプローチは、これら（1）（2）に取り組むものです。大学院の学びを通して、じっくりと腰を落ち着けてこれらの課題に取り組んでみませんか。ご関心がある方は、研究計画・研究構想とともにご相談ください！

Message

Prospective students aspiring to join the Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies (GSICS) are likely driven by an interest in finding “solutions” to global challenges. However, rather than immediately seeking solutions, it is essential to first analyze (1) the structure and background of the issue and (2) the underlying causes of its emergence. Without these foundational understandings, achieving meaningful and lasting solutions becomes difficult. Political Science, including International Relations, provides the analytical tools to explore these aspects. Why not take on these challenges in GSICS?
