研究課題

自然災害リスク削減のための教育、リスク・コミュニケーション手法の開発・実施・評価に関する実践研究を行っています。工学、地理学、教育学等の分野での研究者と共に学際研究を推進しています。大規模災害の被災地の学校における復興支援のあり方の検証や災害経験の伝承、包括的学校安全の拡充についての国際共同研究を手がけています。実践研究を通じた社会の災害レジリエンス強化に貢献することを目指し、防災教育・学校安全分野での国際協力を推進しています。

Research Topic

My research topic includes soft countermeasures of disaster risk reduction, including disaster education and disaster risk communication. Practical researches are conducted on the development, implementation, and evaluation of disaster education programs. Interdisciplinary researches are promoted together with researchers in fields such as engineering, geography, economics, and psychology. International joint researches are also conducted on examining how disaster-affected schools could be recovered to become more disaster resilient, and on comparative analysis of comprehensive school safety.

「地に足つけて地球を考える」がこの研究室のモットーです。国内外のフィールドでの経験を重視し、現地の自然環境、社会・経済・政治・文化等のコンテキストへの理解を踏まえた学校での実践研究を進めていきます。不確実な時代に柔軟な発想と持って学際的アプローチで多様な主体との協働を通じて社会問題の解決に向けた研究を行っています。

Message

This laboratory's motto is "thinking about the Earth with our feet on the ground. Emphasizing field experiences in Japan and abroad, our lab promotes practical research at school and in the community based on understanding the local natural environment, social, economic, political, cultural, and other contexts. We conduct research to solve social problems through collaboration with diverse actors using an interdisciplinary approach with flexible ideas in uncertain times.
