研究課題

私の研究関心は、教育経済学の視点から教育の質に焦点を当て、教育政策や政府の教育への介入が学習成果形成をどのようにもたらし、教育の公平性をどのように促進するか探求することにあります。これまでの研究では、幼児の発達、スキル開発、デジタル教育、STEM教育、シャドウ・エデュケーション（影の教育）など、多岐にわたるテーマに取り組んできました。博士論文では、文化資本理論を用いて、バングラデシュにおける家庭学習環境が幼児の発達成果に与える影響を計量的手法により分析しました。開発途上国において、教育のアクセス、質、公平性の向上に資する、エビデンスにもとづく政策研究を行っています。

Research Topic

I am an education economist with a strong research background and practical experience in development work. My research focuses on the economics of education and education quality, with particular emphasis on how education policies and interventions shape learning outcomes and promote educational equity. I have explored a wide range of research topics, including early childhood development, skills development, digital education, STEM education, and shadow education. In my doctoral dissertation, I applied cultural capital theory to analyze how the home learning environment influences early childhood development outcomes in Bangladesh. Driven by a commitment to building equitable and effective education systems, I strive to advance evidence-based policy research that enhances access, quality, and equity in education, particularly in developing countries.

神戸大学GSICSの修了生として、母校に戻り、私のキャリア形成に重要な役割を果たした学術コミュニティに貢献できることは、大変光栄です。私の国際教育開発分野での歩みは、GSICSから始まりました。GSICSで、厳格な学術課程を修め、充実したインターンシップの機会をいただいたことを通じ、確かな基盤を築くことができたと感じます。こうした経験により、教育政策や開発戦略、異文化交流への理解が深まったのみならず、公平で持続可能な教育システムの発展に寄与したいという強い使命感を抱くようになりました。GSICSで学術指導をいただいた経験と国際機関での実務経験の両方から私が学んできたことを、学生の皆さんとふれあいながら共有できることを楽しみにしています。国際開発における理論と実践をつなぐ架け橋となり、グローバルな教育政策がどのように実施されるのか、異なる文脈における課題とは何か、そして意義ある変革をもたらす革新的な解決策について、学生の皆さんがより深く理解できるようお手伝いできればと願っています。

Message

As a graduate of GSICS at Kobe University, it is a great honor to return to my alma mater and contribute to the academic community that played such a pivotal role in shaping my career. My journey in international education development began at GSICS, where the rigorous academic training and enriching internship opportunities provided a strong foundation for my professional growth. These formative experiences not only deepened my understanding of education policy, development strategies, and intercultural exchange, but also inspired a lasting commitment to advancing equitable and sustainable education systems. I look forward to engaging with students and sharing insights from both my academic journey at GSICS and my practical experience with international organizations. I hope to serve as a bridge between theory and practice in international development—supporting students in exploring how global education policies are implemented, navigating challenges across diverse contexts, and discovering innovative solutions that drive meaningful change.
