公開模擬条約交渉 (多国間条約交渉論) へのご招待

学生が 10 ヶ国の代表となり、遺伝子組換え生物 (GMO) から生じる責任制度に関する新たな環境条約を交渉しており、いよいよその最終段階を迎えました。院生扮する各国代表は、厳しい「対処方針」の下、英語で損害の定義や責任制度の諸規定を交渉し、合意を得ていかなければなりません。果たして交渉期限の 17:00 までに新たな環境条約をコンセンサスで成立させることはできるのでしょうか。担当教員が実際に経験した交渉を再現した、学生達によるリアルな模擬条約交渉の様子を、是非、ご覧下さい

The students representing 10 nations are at the final stage of negotiating a new environmental treaty on liability arising from genetically modified organisms (GMOs). They have to agree on several key provisions like “damage” and “liability” by 17:00, as this is the final meeting of the Group of Friends of Chair. All participating nations have their own interests at stake, and their representatives have strict instructions from the government (professor). It is therefore not easy to compromise. Can they reach a consensus on a new environmental treaty? The negotiation is conducted all in English.
